A few months ago I was searching for some games that we can play in the english class, you can find it in this post.
Today I want to give you my opinion about this game because I used it last week in my class. “What’s up” is a classic what’s on my head game written especially for children to play and enjoy. Each card has an image on it, for example a lion, a fire engine or a balloon. Then each child has to guess “what’s on their head” by asking a series of searching questions, normally where the answer can only be yes or no. Cards are graded for younger and older children. The child that wins takes their turn now.
I tried in my class one day in the week before Christmas, and they loved it. First I try two or three times, to show the students the way of functioning, and after that, I ask for volunteers to play with the whole class. After 10 minutes playing all together, I said to play in the small groups of 4-5 children. I keep all the cards, and they have to come to me to change one for the next. I am preparing now other games, but I will use it again soon.
