Today I’m going to tell you some things about how I used this game in my class of year 4.
In this post I told you about some board games to use in the English class, and the other day I used this in my class. I let you other reviews of games here and here.
Some times I have thought that I could identify a dice as a representative object of mine, because I use them a lot in class for different purposes and also because I think a teacher has to be like a dice, with many different sides: organizative, funny, serious, … I talked about that in a course I did last week with other teachers.
So, this game is very useful to practice a lot of things. Concretely, I used it to practice writing, but you can also use it to speak to practice vocabulary. I started telling the children that they had to write a post like if they were writing in their diary. And they have to roll the dice twice and include in the text the two objects they get. Obviusly, some were easier but others were a bit difficult, to connect 5 or 6 sentences including those words, and building some cohesion.
Here you have my idea, now you can develop others and look for more information. You can find other posts about these type of games here.
